The student's arrest took place without siren, without flashing light and, more ominously, it was not mentioned in the Kiev news. The nature of this arrest did however, prompt the other three students (all Ukrainien Jews) to try or freedom - their aim being to escape to fisrael via Europe. Hijacking a plane and making for the West, they are refused help by one country after another. When the plane inevitably runs out of fuel and is forced to land in England, the authorities have to decide whether these men are to be treated as political refugees or as murderous criminels. In the meantime, the perpetrators take the only route of action left open to them.
